Vale Fr Laurie

The Requiem Mass for Fr Lawrence (Laurie) Patrick Beath will be celebrated at St Raphael's Catholic Church, 15 Lachlan Street, Cowra at 11.00 am on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023.

Due to the significant impact of Father Laurie’s passing on our whole school and parish community, and the desire of many school staff to attend his funeral, there will be minimal supervision at school for the whole day on Wednesday 2nd August. 

Those students who do attend school on this day will be supervised in collapsed classes with skeleton staffing and will not attend Father Laurie’s funeral. 

Those students who do wish to attend Father Laurie’s funeral are to do so with their families, and are asked to wear full school uniform.  We encourage all School Leaders, and Year 11 and 12 cohorts to attend the funeral in full school uniform. 

Students and staff continue to pray for Fr Laurie.

School Uniform Policy

Please see attached the updated School Uniform P0licy, effective Term 3, 2023.  Secondary students, in particular are being asked to take note of the following points:

1. No makeup at all, including fake eyelashes, mascara and eyeliner

2. No fake nails, nail polish must be clear only

3. If hair is touching the collar, then it must be put up.
