Kindergarten Excursion – Cowra Ambulance Station & Billy Goat Hill Scared Site
On Wednesday 17th September 2025, Kindergarten students will be participating in an
excursion from 9:30am – 12:00pm. This educational experience will support our current
Geography and History learning programs.
Students will attend school as usual in the morning. Students will have fruit break at school
before leaving for the excursion.
Our first stop will be the Cowra Ambulance Station, where students will have the opportunity
to explore the facilities, meet paramedics, and learn about their important role in keeping our
community safe.
Following this visit, we will travel to Billy Goat Hill, where Mrs Ammie Broad will share her
knowledge about the site and explain why it is recognised as a Sacred Site in Cowra. This
will be an important learning opportunity for students to connect with local Indigenous
Australian cultures and histories.
Students will travel by school bus and will be supervised by Mrs Amy O’Reilly and other
school staff members. We ask that students wear their school sports uniform, bring a water
bottle and provide a packed recess and lunch. We will be enjoying recess at Billy Goat Hill,
so we please ask that students do not have a recess order that day.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
We look forward to an engaging and meaningful learning experience for our students.
