At St Raphael’s Catholic School there is a strong link between School, Parish and the wider community. We aim to develop and foster these relationships through communication and relevant social justice initiatives.
When whole School Masses are celebrated, the Parish community is always welcome to attend. Additionally all homeroom classes attend Parish morning Masses at designated times throughout the year.
Our school leaders are given responsibility for the readings and commentary at various weekend Masses throughout the year. With ‘School Masses’ being introduced in 2018 to further develop the School Parish connection. Both staff and students are involved in the liturgy to continue to develop our connection to our faith. We pride ourselves on creating faith formation opportunities regularly for both staff and students.
Community links are also an important part of the RE department at St Raphael’s. We have a particularly strong connection with the local branch of Saint Vincent de Paul.
