Our Canteen is managed by Mrs Donna Stokes and relies on the availability of volunteers to provide freshly prepared food on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and general canteen sales on Wednesdays . As well as fueling students for their school day, the canteen provides an essential service for busy parents by taking lunch preparation off the home agenda and providing a treat for children on their special days.
Canteen helpers are required from 9:30am to 2:30pm, are supplied with lunch and may help themselves to tea/coffee throughout the day. For those helpers where a 9:30am start is difficult, we are also offering a new time slot of 11:30am to 2:30pm. We are extremely flexible in working around your family routine, so if you are able to contribute even a few hours though the day, please let us know.
All volunteers assisting in the canteen require a
Food Handling Certificate, which is a free, short online course that can be completed in less than 45 minutes. An annual Volunteer Declaration must also be signed at the school prior to your first day at the canteen. Everyone in your family is very welcome including Mum, Dad, Nan, Pop, Aunts and Uncles, and we can be flexible around specific family circumstances. Please speak with Mrs Donna Stokes if you have any questions (0427 501 508).
Please consider joining the volunteer roster, and complete the attached form to indicate your availability. We look forward to seeing you soon, at the school canteen!
